SPEAKING EVENTS
Kevin D. McCann is available to speak to historical and genealogical groups and societies, libraries, and bookstores in Middle and West Tennessee and north Mississippi on the subjects of his books. These subjects include Fielding Hurst and the Sixth Tennessee (Federal) Cavalry in the Civil War; Adam Huntsman and Tennessee frontier politics; and the history of minor league baseball in Jackson, Tennessee.
He has spoken to Civil War Roundtables in Nashville and Clarksville, Tennessee; the Mid-West Tennessee Genealogical Society in Jackson, Tennessee; the McNairy County Historical Society in Selmer, Tennessee; the Humboldt Historical Society in Humboldt, Tennessee; and Sons of Confederate Veterans camps at Shiloh, Tennessee and Corinth and Ripley, Mississippi. He has also been interviewed on the radio on WNWS News/Talk 101.5 FM and WTJS West Tennessee’s News & Talk 94.3 FM (both in Jackson, Tennessee) and on television for Fox Sports Midwest. He was interviewed about Fielding Hurst for the Tennessee Civil War 150 documentary series produced by WNPT Public Television in Nashville, Tennessee.
